A graduate of the UG’s Faculty of Economics has won first prize in a Bank Guarantee Fund competition for her MA thesis
A decision has been reached following the 14th Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) competition for the best MA thesis in the field of deposit guarantee schemes, the restructuring or structured liquidation of financial institutions, the regulatory infrastructure of the financial system, issues relating to the financial security of banks, and financial security.
The competition jury, consisting of Dariusz Filar (member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Council), Ewa Kawecka-Włodarczak (member of BFG Council), Andrzej Rzońca (member of Monetary Policy Council) awarded the 10,000zł first prize to Aleksandra Groch MA for her work The Influence of Financial Embezzlement in the Shadow Banking System on the Stability and Security of the International Financial Market.
The work was written under the supervision of Dr Sławomir Antkiewicz from the Chair of International Financial Markets in the UG’s Faculty of Economics.
The award ceremony took place at the headquarters of the BFG.
