Christopher Todd, Head of “Poland” Unit at European Commission’s Directorate General, pays visit to University of Gdańsk
A meeting between Christopher Todd, Head of the “Poland” Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy, and representatives of the Marshal’s Office, held on 19 April 2018 at the University of Gdańsk, focused on projects financed from EU funds. The University of Gdańsk was represented by Prof. Dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, and employees of the Development Projects Management Office.
The guests were given the chance to see how EU funds are applied in practice. They were suitably impressed by their visit to the buildings of Neophilology, Chemistry and Biology, financed from structural funds. There was also a great deal of interest in the university’s most recent investment, the Maciej Płażyński EcoPark, co-financed from funds of the 2014 – 2020 Regional Operational Programme for the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The Vice-Rector Piotr Stepnowski also presented future investments, for which the university is seeking funds.
