University of Gdańsk participation in Gala of Pomeranian Ranking of General and Technical Secondary Schools Perspektywy 2019

The University of Gdańsk presented its educational range at an information stall during the Gala of the Pomeranian Ranking of General and Technical Secondary Schools Perspektywy 2019, held on 7 February 2019 at the Auditorium of the Gdańsk University of Technology. During the ceremony the ten best general and technical secondary schools from the Pomeranian Voivodeship received awards. The University of Gdańsk was represented by the Vice-Rector for Students Affairs, Dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, associate professor.

The UG information stall with representatives of the Admissions Office and the Promotion Section enjoyed particular interest, with the young visitors asking numerous questions concerning the admissions process and the UG study offer. Prof. Krzysztof Skóra’s Hel Marine Station of the Institute of Oceanography of the University of Gdańsk also had their own educational stall devoted to Baltic seals, where representatives of the Station shared information on the grey seal, a species native to the southern Baltic coast, its biology, dangers posed by human activity and the relationship between seals and the fishing industry. The educational material offered by the stall (posters, flyers) covered, amongst others, the correct procedure if you meet a seal on the coast.
