The signature of the agreement on cooperation in publication of an academic journal "Financial Law Review" between the University of Gdańsk and Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice
The official signing of the cooperation agreement between the University of Gdańsk Centre for Self-Government and Local Financial Law and the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice took place on 11th May 2019 in Strand Hotel in Borgholm (Sweden) at the conclusion of the 5th International Baltic Conference of the Financial Law on “The Financial Law Towards Challenges of the XXI Century”. The agreement was signed by: on behalf of the Gdańsk University - Prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Bielawski – Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with Business and Industry, and on behalf of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice - Prof. h. c. prof. JUDr. Vladimír Babčák, CSc., Head of the Department of Financial Law, Tax Law and Economics of the Faculty of Law at the Pavel Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. zw. dr hab. Jolanta Gliniecka in a triple role: as the organizer of the conference, editor-in-chief of the Financial Law Review and the Head of the Department of Financial Law, Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk.
The event was accompanied by the official handing out of the previously signed agreements to the representatives of the remaining two Publishing Partners of the Financial Law Review - Mr. prof. dr. hab. Petr Mrkývka Head of the Department of Financial Law and National Economy of the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno and Ms. Prof. Dr. of Laws, Marina M. Valentinovna Sentsova (Karaseva) - Head of the Department of Financial Law, Faculty of Law of the Voronezh State University.
The signed agreements are the basis of the multiannual cooperation between the renowned research centres of four countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia, aiming at introducing the Financial Law Review to the international academic circulation. The publishing partners are to participate in the journal’s governing bodies, editorial works and the costs of publishing.
Financial Law Review is a scientific journal devoted to the issues of public finances and financial law. The mission of the journal is to provide a forum for exchange of knowledge and ideas within the scientific community and to popularize publications among the representatives of the doctrine of finance, business and politics. The main idea is to provide a bridge between science and practice that allows two-way flow of inspirations and ideas and together to solve the complex problems of the modern world of finance.
