Geography

The University of Gdańsk is based in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, on the southern shores of the Baltic Sea.

This picturesque part of northern Poland will frequently surprise you with its varied natural settings - starting from beautiful Kaszubia with its chains of lakes, through the thick forests of Bory Tucholskie and the flat farm lands of the Żuławy, and ending up in the Three Cities, which combine the attractions of its large wooded Landscape Park and of a seaside resort with kilometers of sandy beaches. The University of Gdańsk is spread over the whole of the Three Cities area all along the Bay of Gdańsk. The Three Cities consist of Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with  their adjoining towns. About 700,000 people live in the Three Cities.
