If contamination has occurred or you suspect contamination, notify the building administration or University Guard, at phone number + 48 725 991 245, who will inform the appropriate authorities.
If you are in a contaminated area:
- stay inside and inform others of the threat,
- close doors and windows, turn off air conditioning and fans, seal/close vents,
- avoid basements and low-lying areas of the building,
- avoid unnecessary oxygen consumption,
- protect your airways (e.g., with a cloth or scarf),
- wait for the authorities to arrive and follow their instructions.
If contamination has occurred inside a room:
- do not touch or smell suspicious objects, do not wipe liquids, and do not clean powders,
- to prevent the spread of the substance, cover it with something like a blanket,
- close windows and doors, turn off air conditioning, and avoid drafts,
- leave the contaminated room and do not let others enter,
- wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water – do not touch your face, eyes, or mouth with unwashed hands!
- remove clothing that has come into contact with the suspicious substance,
- after exposure to suspicious substances, do not eat, drink, or smoke,
- wait for the authorities to arrive and follow their instructions.
If contamination has occurred in an open area:
- go to the nearest enclosed building,
- try to move perpendicular to the wind direction, and protect your airways (e.g., with a cloth or scarf),
- allow other people from the danger zone into the building,
- wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water – do not touch your face, eyes, or mouth with unwashed hands!
- remove clothing that has come into contact with the suspicious substance,
- wait for the authorities to arrive and follow their instructions.
