The University of Gdańsk is developing its cooperation with the economic environment in the areas of student education and scientific research. The best examples of this cooperation are study programmes, consulted with business representatives, new didactic initiatives and new directions in scientific research to aid economic practice. A number of University faculties can boast active expert or advisory councils which bring together representatives of the largest companies in the region and in the country. The opinions of these bodies and the numerous initiatives allow us not only to prepare UG students better for future employment but also to increase understanding of mutual expectations as regards the cooperation between the higher education sector and the economic and administrative spheres. Further information on the issue is available on faculty websites.
