on the introduction of a list of fees for accommodation in University of
Gdańsk student homes in the academic year 2023/2024
On the basis of § 147 section 2 point 7 of the Statute of the University of Gdańsk of 13 June 2019 (with amendments) and in accordance with the Regulations for the allocation of places and provision of accommodation in University of Gdańsk student homes constituting Annex 1 to Decree no. 10/K/21 of the UG Chancellor of 2 September 2021 on the allocation and use of places in University of Gdańsk student homes – it is hereby decreed:
§ 1.
- The monthly gross cost of accommodation in UG Student Homes (Polish: ‘DS’) is determined as follows:

- Cost of accommodation for an incomplete month shall be calculated from the fifth day of the month for each day of stay, irrespective of the student home to which this cost applies.

- The cost for interns from other universities is 29.16 PLN per day. Should the internship last one month or longer, the cost shall be calculated in accordance with the list of fees specified in section 1. The cost of the accommodation service is subject to 8% VAT.
- The fee for part-time students using temporary accommodation during weekend sessions or students re-taking examinations is 29.00 PLN per day. The accommodation service is exempt from VAT.
- The cost of temporary accommodation (per one day) in a student room is:
- 1) for a person taking a standard place – 37.91 PLN per day;
- 2) for a person not taking a standard place – 32.30 PLN per day.
The cost of the accommodation service is subject to 8% VAT.
- The cost for an additional person inhabiting a room in accordance with the UG Chancellor’s decree on the allocation and use of places in University of Gdańsk student homes is 50% of the amount indicated in section 1.
- The cost of a laundry token is 4.50 PLN gross.
- The cost for loss of or damage to the magnetic card which opens the room is 50.00 PLN gross.
- In justified circumstances and at the written request of the applicant, the UG Chancellor or his/her deputy may give consent to the deadline for the payment to be extended or the fee to be paid in instalments (this shall apply only to sections 1 and 2).
§ 2.
The Decree shall enter into force on 1 October 2023.
