Decree no. 6/K/24
of the Chancellor of the University of Gdansk
of 2 July 2024

on the introduction of a price list for accommodation in student residences at
the University of Gdansk in the academic year 2024/2025

 

Pursuant to § 147(2)(7) of the Statute of the University of Gdansk of 13 June 2019 (as amended), and in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for the allocation of places and accommodation in student residences of the University of Gdansk, constituting annex no. 1 to the decree no. 10/K/21 of the Chancellor of the UG of 2 September 2021 on the allocation and use of places in student residences of the University of Gdansk - it has been decided as follows:

 

§ 1.

  1. Gross monthly prices for accommodation in UG Student Residences are set as follows:

  1. children of students occupying standard places
  2. spouses who are students at other universities
  3. trainees doing internships organised by UG, research internships or exchanges as part of projects

Accommodation services in student residences subject to 8% VAT provided to :

  1. spouses who are not students
  2. UG employees
  3. UG alumni
  4. students of other universities
  5. other non-students

  1. The fee for an incomplete month of residence is charged from the 5th day of the month for each day of residence, regardless of which student residence the fee applies to.

  1. The fee for apprentices of other universities is 32.40 PLN per night. If the apprenticeship lasts a month or more, the fee is charged according to the price list indicated in paragraph 1. The price of the accommodation service is subject to 8% VAT.
  2. The fee for part-time students staying overnight for the duration of university lectures and students accommodated for the duration of the examination resit period is 30.00 PLN per night. The price of accommodation services is exempt from VAT.
  3. The charge for an overnight stay (one night) in a student room is:
    1. a person occupying a standard place - 43.20 PLN per night;
    2. a person not occupying a standard place - 35.64 PLN per night.

      The price of the accommodation service is subject to 8% VAT.
  4. An additional person accommodated in accordance with the Decree of the Chancellor of the University of Gdansk on the allocation and use of places in student residences at the University of Gdansk shall pay 50% of the amount indicated in paragraph 1.
  5. The price for laundry tokens is 4.50 PLN gross.
  6. The price for losing or destroying the magnetic card for opening the room is 50.00 PLN gross.
  7. In justified cases, the Chancellor of UG or the Deputy Chancellor may, at the written request of the person concerned, agree to postpone the date of payment or to spread it into instalments (applies only to paragraphs 1 and 2).

 

§ 2.

The Decree shall come into force on 1 October 2024.
