Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are starting to accept scholarship applications for the 2025/26 academic year.
For the first time, applications will be submitted in full, together with attachments (scanned documents) only and exclusively via eUczelnia , in the Scholarships and dormitories tab (Apply for benefits) - - the option will be unlocked on October 1.
We will not accept paper applications, emails, or traditional mail. Only applications submitted to eUczelnia will be considered . This applies to all benefits: social grants, increased social grants, the Rector's grant, scholarships for persons with disabilities, and financial assistance.
On the website stypendia.ug.edu.pl in the Documents and instructions tab you can find instructions on how to submit applications correctly.
Applications for the Rector's Scholarship will be accepted until October 22nd inclusive. Students who apply for social grants and scholarships for people with disabilities can expect to receive their payments in November, with a balance for October, by that same date.
Applications for social grants and scholarships for people with disabilities can be submitted practically throughout the academic year. However, those who submit their applications after October 22nd will receive their payments from the month following the month of application, if they are approved. For example, if someone submits an application on October 23rd, they will only receive their November payment in November, and so on.
The website stypendia.ug.edu.pl provides email addresses and phone numbers for Office staff who support students from specific faculties. You can also contact them via email: stypendia@ug.edu.pl.
Applications for the Rector's Scholarship no longer require a certificate of your grade point average from the Dean's Office. The system will calculate it automatically. After October 31st, it will be additionally verified by the Scholarship Office and Dean's Office staff.
Students who are starting their studies in the first year of their second-cycle studies and completed their first-cycle studies at another university will have to attach a scanned certificate of their average grade from the last year of their studies to their application.
Certificates documenting any artistic, sporting or scientific achievements described in the Regulations on Benefits for UG Students should be scanned and attached to the submitted application.
Only students with team sports achievements achieved through the AZS UG are not required to document these achievements. Their achievements will be confirmed by the AZS UG.
When applying for a social scholarship, the necessary attachments are: certificates from the tax office on the income earned in 2024 by all adult family members, certificates from the social insurance institution on the amount of health insurance contributions paid by all adult family members in 2024.
If the family's financial situation has changed in 2025 compared to the previous year, this must be appropriately documented and described by completing the application at eUczelnia . Details can be found at stypiendia.ug.edu.pl.
Students who receive maintenance must attach a court judgment granting this benefit to their application.
Students whose parents are farmers must attach to the application a certificate from the municipal office confirming the number of conversion hectares owned in 2024.
If your income is exceptionally low (below PLN 823 per person), you must attach a certificate from a social welfare center confirming the assistance provided by that office in 2025. Without this, you won't be able to receive a social grant, unless you can document your family's sources of income in some other way. Please note that to receive a social grant, you must use all previously available forms of assistance, such as support from a social welfare center.
Students from outside the Tricity area who will be renting a room in the Tricity area during their studies can apply for an increased social grant. In this case, they must submit a lease agreement with their name as the tenant. Students who will be living in student residence halls can also apply for this benefit.
Students with financial difficulties who are beginning their studies in the 2025/26 academic year may apply for a so-called start-up allowance in addition to the social grant. This one-time benefit may be awarded for documented costs incurred in connection with starting their studies, such as the purchase of a computer or other teaching aids, especially for those who also had to move to the Tricity area. The amount of the allowance will depend on the costs presented and the number of applications submitted.
When applying for a scholarship for disabled people, the application must be accompanied by a certificate of the degree of disability and, in some cases, a certificate from the Commission stating that a new certificate has been applied for (if the old one has expired).
International students must have all attachments to their social grants translated into Polish by a sworn translator. However, this does not have to be a Polish sworn translator; they can work in Belarus or Ukraine, for example.
Foreign students applying for scholarships are subject to the same guidelines as Polish students, therefore the list of required documents is identical, however, these may include certificates from, for example, Belarusian or Ukrainian equivalents of individual offices, if, for example, the student's parents work in these countries.
Students should also note that the current total period for which scholarships from the Scholarship Fund are awarded is 12 semesters, with the proviso that this period cannot exceed 9 semesters for undergraduate studies and 7 semesters for graduate studies. This means that students who receive scholarships for more than 12 semesters, or for more than 9 semesters for undergraduate studies, or for more than 7 semesters for graduate studies, will no longer be eligible to receive benefits from the Scholarship Fund! Please keep this in mind when completing your application to avoid having to repay the scholarship!
